Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CHARGING AN ENERGY ACCUMULATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2005112223
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device (1) for charging an energy accumulator, comprising an internal combustion engine (3), at least one electric motor (4), a first energy accumulator, a second energy accumulator and a control unit (8), the first and second energy accumulators being connected in parallel via a switch (6). The end-of-charge voltage of the first energy accumulator is higher than that of the second energy accumulator. A charge voltage (UL) for the first and second energy accumulators can be produced by means of the electric motor acting as a generator. At least the charged state of the second energy accumulator is detected and a charging power can be determined by the control unit (8) in accordance with the charged state of said second energy accumulator. The control unit (8) can predetermine a generator torque (MG) for the electric motor (4) at least in accordance with the determined charging power. The charge voltage (UL) of the electric motor (4) that is thus established is less than or equal to the end-of-charge voltage of the second energy accumulator. The charge voltage (UL) and/or the charge current (IL) of the electric motor (4) is/are monitored by the control unit (8) and the generator torque (MG) of the electric motor (4) is corrected in such a way that the charge voltage (UL) is less than or equal to the end-of-charge voltage of the second energy accumulator.
