Abstract:
A method and device for circuit design for use in an inexact computational neural network, and a computer readable storage medium. The method for circuit design comprises: determining a bit width selection range of an inexact multiplier; by means of a heuristic random algorithm having a node importance ranking in a circuit as a driver, generating various selectable inexact multipliers for each candidate bit width in the bit length selection range; independently replacing each exact multiplier in a neural network with an inexact multiplier of the various selectable inexact multipliers, all possible solutions produced composing one solution space; at least selecting some solutions in the solution space, traversing training and test results of an inexact neural network under each solution, and making the optimal solution acquired as a circuit for use in the inexact computational neural network. The present method greatly reduces the area and power consumption without greatly affecting the accuracy of computation results, thus increasing computation speed.
