Abstract:
A method and device for communication, for use in solving the problem in the prior art of increased complexity and increased power consumption when an eMTC terminal device in a connected state receives an emergency message notification. The method comprises: a first device determines first control information, the first control information carrying first information, and the first information being used for indicating emergency information; the first control information being control information of format 3; or, the first control information being control information of format 3A; or, the first control information being control information of format 6-0A; or, the first control information being control information of format 6-0B; or, the first control information being control information of format 6-1A, or, the first control information being control information of format 6-1B. The first device transmits the first control information to a second device. Moreover, the first device transmits the emergency information to the second device. The method and device provided in the embodiments of the present application increase the coverage of a network and are applicable in an Internet of Things, such as MTC, IoT, LTE-M, and M2M.
