Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of communications, and particularly relates to a method and device for configuring an operating carrier. The method comprises: allocating N first component carriers to a user equipment (UE) unit, N being an integer greater than or equal to 1; and sending to the UE unit a first message, wherein the first message comprises N first message units, each of the N first message units corresponds to one of the first component carriers, said first message unit is used to instruct the UE unit to activate the first component carrier corresponding thereto, and the first message is used by the UE unit to perform carrier aggregation on the N first component carriers to obtain an operating carrier. By employing the N first message units in the first message to instruct the UE unit to activate the allocated N first component carriers, and in turn enabling the UE unit to determine the N first component carriers, the present disclosure realizes configuration of an operating carrier.
