Abstract:
The present invention concerns a method and a device for continuously changing speed ratios, in which the speed controlling means is comprised of a differential gear, a variator and a spiral mechanism. The controlling speed output from the said means is combined with the driving speed of the engine in a second differential gear so that a continuously variable speed from zero to a desired high value can be obtained. Running smoothly with a currently constant value to accelerate or decelerate, the present device can suppress impact and vibration. Accelerating condition of the device can be interrupted and then continued with simple operation. It can be used in vehicles, boats or other machines for speed changing.
