Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and device for controlling a discontinuous reception (DRX) timer, a terminal, and a base station. The method comprises: receiving control information carried by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH); starting a DRX inactivity timer according to the control information; and if the DRX inactivity timer times out within a preset time period after receiving the control information, restarting the DRX inactivity timer. In the method, after a DRX inactivity timer is started, if timeout occurs within a corresponding preset time period after receiving PDCCH control information for starting the DRX inactivity timer, the DRX inactivity timer is automatically restarted.
