Abstract:
The outlet temperature of a condenser (18) for high-temperature water (h) is maintained in a set range by controlling the rotational frequency of a drive motor (24) that drives a reciprocating compressor (16) and thus controlling the capacity of the reciprocating compressor (16) during the interval from the maximum permissible load to the lower limit lubrication load at which the flow volume of a lubricating oil pump (28) can be ensured with all cylinders operating, and by a combined operation wherein control is performed to reduce the number of operating air cylinders and the rotational frequency of the drive motor (24) is controlled, thus controlling the capacity of the reciprocating compressor (16) when the maximum permissible load is at or below the lower limit lubrication load. Furthermore, a heating mechanism (70A) is provided in the intake path (14a) of the reciprocating compressor (16), preventing backup of coolant into the reciprocating compressor (16) when it is operating and when it starts up.
