Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for controlling an optical switch matrix. The method comprises: setting row drives corresponding to P input ports to be switched to a reset row drive value, while setting column drives corresponding to Q output ports to be switched to a reset column drive value, such that optical switches at the intersections are in a first state; and performing the following operations on P row drives and Q column drives simultaneously: setting row drives corresponding to the i-th input ports in sequence of time to values in a switching row drive sequence, and setting column drives corresponding to the j-th output ports in sequence of time to values in a switching column drive sequence, such that target optical switches in P*Q optical switches remain in the first state, and optical switches other than the target optical switches switch from the first state to a second state in first time periods corresponding thereto respectively. By controlling optical switches simultaneously instead of in a one by one manner, the present invention can reduce the switching time of an optical switch matrix, thereby increasing working efficiency of the optical switch matrix.
