Abstract:

A device for correcting parameter that represents each direction of acceleration in an acceleration sensor built in a specific device. The device has a acceleration-sensing portion (11) for detecting acceleration; an evaluating portion (12) for determining the behavior and posture of a wearer of the specific device by using variation patterns of acceleration obtained from the acceleration sensor when the wearer moves; a parameter memory portion (15) for memorizing parameter used in the determination by the evaluating portion (12); a correction trigger portion (31) for transmitting, upon detecting a correction trigger button being pressed by the wearer etc., a signal that signals the start of parameter correction to the acceleration-sensing portion (11) and an installation position-determining portion (32); and a parameter-correcting portion (14) for reading parameter memorized in the parameter memory portion (15) based on the result selected in an installation position-selecting portion (13), correcting the parameter in accordance with a position where the device is installed, and then outputting the corrected parameter to the evaluating portion (12).
