The present invention is applicable to the technical field of computers. Provided are a method and device for correcting and reconstructing a barrel distorted image. The method comprises: performing distortion recovery operation on a low-resolution barrel distorted image input by a user so as to generate a corresponding low-resolution image; extracting an image feature of the low-resolution image; searching for a dictionary atom corresponding to each image feature of the low-resolution image in a low-resolution sparse dictionary; acquiring a projection matrix corresponding to the dictionary atom in a plurality of projection matrices; reconstructing a first high-resolution image feature corresponding to the low-resolution barrel distorted image; reconstructing a second high-resolution image feature corresponding to the low-resolution barrel distorted image; and generating and outputting a high-resolution image corresponding to the low-resolution barrel distorted image, so that not only are the details of the barrel distorted image restored in a first reconstruction, but the resolution of the image is also further improved in a second reconstruction, thereby effectively improving the barrel distorted image correction and reconstruction efficiency and image quality.
