Abstract:
Provided are a method and a device for cutting a sheet material into a prescribed closed-loop shape. The device for cutting a sheet material comprises: an air table which can expel air or suck air in from a plurality of fine holes; a template which is mounted on and secured to the air table and comprises a groove part having a prescribed closed-loop shape and holes in positions which match the positions of the holes in the air table; a cutting blade which is provided in a position above a sheet material placed on the template and cuts the sheet material along the groove part of the template; and a cutting blade drive means which can move and rotate the cutting blade through XYZ coordinate axes.
