Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a method and device for data transmission for use in a handover. A terminal device receives first indication information from a source network device, the first indication information indicating whether to retain a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) duplication function of a first radio bearer (RB) at the terminal device in the source network device when the terminal device is being handed over from the source network device to a target network device, and the terminal device transmits data of the first RB with the source network device on the basis of the first indication information. By implementing the method, the reliability of data transmission during a handover process is increased. At the same time, the terminal device is allowed to flexibly determine, on the basis of an indication of the source network device, data transmission schemes of services having different reliability requirements when being handed over, thus increasing the flexibility of data transmission.
