Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING FIELD-INDUCED ALIGNMENTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2000060335
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for simultaneously detecting field-induced alignments of molecules, molecular structures, units, aggregates, supermolecular assemblies, particles, polymer segments, crystal compounds and crystallites located in fluids, solutions, solids, and liquefied materials. According to the invention, at least two polarized lasers (2, 3) which have different polarization directions are modulated. An optical device (4, 5) guides the laser beams through the sample (8) to a common transmission point. The signals of the respective lasers are then recorded (7) as measured values in the corresponding modulation state by light-sensitive elements and are transmitted to a measured value evaluation device.
