Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for detecting surface defects of a hot rolled steel material. The device comprises a light receiving sensor, a detection and recognition device, and a cooling antifouling device on which the sensor may be mounted. The receiving sensor collects light emitted by a surface of hot steel (1) on a conveying line by means of a sensor camera (5), surface defects are detected by means of the detection and recognition device, a result is obtained by calculation, the detection and recognition device uses a light shield (3) to cover the periphery of the steel conveying line, a slit (4) is provided in the light shield, the light receiving sensor receives light emitted from the slit, a cooling dust cover (6) is arranged at a preset position upstream of a measuring position, directly faces a surface to be detected and performs cold water vapor spray cooling to make a cooling condition of the steel surface basically constant, and then the sensor receives heat radiation light of the steel, and defect inspection and recognition treatment are conducted on the steel by means of a visual system. According to the method and the device, the antifouling effect of a sensor camera is effectively improved.
