Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for determining an RA-RNTI, used for solving the problem in the prior art of the RA-RNTI relating only to a PRACH time-frequency domain resource, causing the RA-RNTIs of different coverage enhancement levels to be the same and the Msg2s that correspond to terminals of different coverage enhancement levels to be impossible to distinguish. The method comprises: according to a correlation between the coverage enhancement level and/or number of repeated transmissions and the RA-RNTI offset value, determining the RA-RNTI offset value corresponding to the coverage enhancement level and/or number of repeated transmissions of the terminal; according to the RA-RNTI offset value corresponding to the coverage enhancement level and/or number of repeated transmissions of the terminal and the PRACH time-frequency resource used by the terminal, determining the RA-RNTI of the terminal; thus it is ensured that the Msg2 scheduling information of the terminals having different coverage enhancement levels may be independently transmitted according to the number of repeated transmissions of each terminal.
