Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for determining a signal status of a terminal apparatus, so as to solve the problem in the prior art in which, when a terminal implements a voice service, frequent level switching of a signal status in a network access mode causes a ping-pong effect that impacts the quality of the voice service. The method comprises: when the terminal apparatus determines that n data transmission quality parameters acquired in a first period fall within a first range, determining that a signal status in a network access mode is at a first level; and then, upon determining that m data transmission quality parameters acquired in a second period after the n parameters in the first period fall within a first hysteresis range, maintaining the signal status at the first level. In this way, a ping-pong effect caused by a frequent level switching of the signal status is avoided. Thus, when the terminal apparatus performs selection among multiple network access modes according to different levels of the signal status, a frequent switching between the network access modes that is caused by the frequent switching between the signal statuses can be avoided, and the quality of a service executed by the terminal apparatus can be guaranteed.
