A method for displaying a virtual object, comprising: acquiring first spatial location information of a marker relative to a terminal device; acquiring second spatial location information of the marker relative to a target area of a physical object; on the basis of the first spatial location information and the second spatial location information, determining third spatial location information of the terminal device relative to the target area; on the basis of the third spatial location information, displaying a virtual object in the target area of the physical object.
