Abstract:
A method and device for removing residual gas and liquid remaining in a scrapped gas container by crushing the scrapped container between a pair of rotating rollers disposed inside a disposal chamber, wherein the inside atmosphere of a charging chamber adjacent to the disposal chamber, the disposal chamber, and a discharging chamber of the scrapped gas container is replaced with inert gas so as to maintain the oxygen concentration inside the disposal chamber within a range low enough so that the residual gas is not exploded or burned, the crushing of the scrapped gas container is performed while the oxygen concentration inside the disposal chamber is within that low range, and the pair of rotating rollers comprises two rotating shafts disposed nearly in parallel with each other and sprocket gears disposed on each rotating shaft at specified intervals.
