Abstract:

The invention discloses a method and a device for driving a digital speaker based on code conversion. The method includes: (1) converting input formats; (2) performing multi-bit Sigma-delta modulation; (3) performing thermometer code conversion; (4) performing dynamic mismatch-shaping; (5) performing pulse width modulation code conversion; and (6) controlling an MOSFET (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor) of a full-bridge power amplifier network to switch on-off states and driving a digital speaker load to produce sound. The device comprises a sound source, an input format converter, a multi-bit Sigma-delta modulator, a thermometer encoder, a dynamic mismatched shaper, a code converter, a multi-channel digital power amplifier and the digital speaker load which are sequentially connected. With the invention, the switching speed of a power tube, the power consumption and heat generated by the power tube in the switching process are reduced, the acoustic quality and efficiency of electro-acoustic reduction are improved, the size and the weight of a system and implementation cost are reduced, electromagnetic radiation level is reduced, and the immunity against frequency response deviation of multiple digital channels is enhanced.
