Abstract:
A method for encoding negotiable instrument information comprises: obtaining currency information, version information, and denomination information of a negotiable instrument; querying a preconfigured currency information association table according to the currency information and obtaining a currency code corresponding to the currency information; querying a preconfigured version information association table according the version information and obtaining a version code corresponding to the version information; accessing a preconfigured denomination information association table according to the denomination information and obtaining a denomination code matching the denomination information; and generating an information code of the negotiable instrument according to the currency code, the version code, and the denomination code. A decoding method, an encoding device, a decoding device, a processing system, and a financial self-service equipment are provided. The method can compatibly encode all new versions and new denominations of negotiable instruments, and each code table is stored in the hardware in the form of code data. The data cannot be changed manually, and thus there is no tamper risk.
