Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications, and especially to a method and device for encoding and decoding a polar code. The method comprises: according to a segmentation policy having been confirmed by both a receiver and a sender, segmenting an information sequence to be encoded so as to generate I segmented sequences mi; for any segmented sequence mi, according to the segmented sequence mi and a first encoder corresponding to the segmented sequence mi, generating a first check sequence, and combining the segmented sequence mi and the first check sequence into a first codeword sequence; and combining I first codeword sequences to obtain a second codeword sequence, and encoding a polar code of the second codeword sequence. Since the check is carried out on any segmented sequence mi during decoding, and decoding is terminated in the case where the check is not passed, instead of carrying out the check after a complete information sequence is obtained by means of decoding, not only can the false alarm rate and the block error rate be reduced, the time delay of decoding can also be reduced.
