Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for encrypting a discrete signal that consists of subsequent scanned values (62), according which subsequent scanned values (62) are divided up into subsequent time blocks (66) and the subsequent time blocks (66) are then encoded in encoded data blocks (70) having a predetermined order. The predetermined order of the encoded data blocks (70) is then modified in accordance with a predetermined exchange instruction (76, 80). Due to the integration of a time discontinuity, the inventive method allows a very high security of encryption. Mistakes that occur when signals encrypted in this manner are processed without authorization can be prevented and the compatibility with standard codings can be ensured by carrying out the modification of the chronological order after the discrete signal has been encoded, that is with respect to encoded data blocks into which an encoder encodes the discrete signal.
