Abstract:

Disclosed are a method and device for establishing a multi-domain dual-home path. The method comprises: sending, by a customer network, information about a first dual-home path and a calculation request of a dual-home separation path of the first dual-home path to a parent PCE of a serving network where the dual-home path is located; receiving, by the customer network, information about the dual-home separation path to which the parent PCE responds, wherein the information about the dual-home separation path is calculated by the parent PCE at least according to the information about the first dual-home path; and according to the information about the dual-home separation path, establishing, by the customer network, a second dual-home path. The present invention solves the problem that the establishment of a separation path fails since a PE source node is incorrectly designated because the serving network topology cannot be seen in a customer network, thereby improving the success rate of establishing the separation path.
