Abstract:
According to the present invention, there is provided an estimation method of coupling angle for an articulated vehicle, in which a tractor and a trailer are connected via a fifth wheel coupling. An electronic control unit mounted on the tractor executes the steps of: reading a steering angle and a yaw rate of the tractor; and estimating the coupling angle by applying a Kalman filter to the read steering angle and the read yaw angle. Furthermore, according to the present invention, there are provided an estimation device of coupling angle implemented the estimation method, a tractor equipped with the estimation device, a computer program, and a computer-readable medium carrying the computer program.
