Abstract:
Provided are a method and device that make it possible to suppress misrecognition between bran parts and endosperm parts and are not subject to differences between individuals. This degree-of-grain-milling evaluation method is provided with a dyeing step for using a dyeing liquid to dye grains, an irradiation step for irradiating the grains with light, an image acquisition step for acquiring an image of the grains irradiated with light, and a degree-of-grain-milling determination step for determining whether each of a plurality of pixels composing an image of a single grain acquired in the image acquisition step corresponds to a bran part or endosperm part on the basis of a predetermined standard and determining that the grain corresponding to the image comprising the plurality of pixels is an insufficiently milled grain having remaining bran if there are at least a prescribed number or at least a prescribed ratio of the pixels corresponding to the bran part.
