Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for evaluating packet forwarding performance. The method comprises: determining, according to a forwarded packet, an instruction sequence of the forwarded packet, and determining, according to table items corresponding to respective table lookup instructions in the instruction sequence and a correspondence relationship between the table items and first table lookup execution time information, the first table lookup execution time information of the respective table lookup instructions in the instruction sequence; determining second table lookup execution time information of the respective table lookup instructions in the instruction sequence in an operation process; and determining packet forwarding performance according to the first table lookup execution time information and the second table lookup execution time information corresponding to the respective table lookup instructions in the instruction sequence. Also disclosed is a device for evaluating packet forwarding performance.
