Abstract:
A method and a device for evaluating a pneumatic tire in which the impact of deterioration of a tire due to temperature can be evaluated exactly by representing severity of temperature imposed to such a member as the rubber of the tire quantitatively and conveniently. Based on information about the temperature of a pneumatic tire detected by a temperature sensor at a temperature detecting section (101), a number of detection counting section (102) determines the number of detections for each detection temperature. Based on the number of detections and a contribution coefficient concerning deterioration of tire rubber employing the temperatures stored in a contribution coefficient storing section (103) as parameters, a severity calculating section (104) calculates the temperature severity number of the pneumatic tire by performing operation using an operation formula, and a judging section (105) judges temperature deterioration of the tire using the calculated temperature severity number.
