Method and device for filling a cartridge (1) for an aerosol generating device with a liquid, according to which is: - supplied a cartridge (1) comprising a container (10) comprising a lateral wall (10b) and an absorbent element (11) arranged in the container (10); - arranged one dispensing end (2a) of at least one cannula (2) between the lateral wall (10b) of the container (10) and the absorbent element (11); and - injected, a dosed quantity of liquid in the container (10) through the cannula (2).
