Abstract:
According to the present invention, a device (1) for forming a wrapped food item is provided with: a placement member (43) onto which a flat outer skin material (D) on which a filling (F) is placed is transferred, the placement member (43) having an opening (44) at the center; a pressing member (63) for pressing the peripheral edge part of the outer skin material against the placement member so as to form a sealed interior space; an air pressure raising device for increasing the air pressure in the interior space of the pressing member so as to cause the vicinity of the center of the outer skin material, together with the filling, to be recessed downward on the inside of the opening and the outer skin material to be formed into a bowl shape; and a shutter (47) comprising a plurality of shutter pieces (45) for gathering the peripheral edge part of the outer skin material so as to enclose the filling after the pressing member is moved upwards.
