Abstract:

A method of fusing film, comprising the steps of providing upwardly facing frame-shaped hot plates (7) under a vertically moving press plate (10), placing a composite film (1) comprising a polyurethane film (1a) and a polyethylene film (1b) between the press plate (10) and the frame-shaped hot plate (7) so that the polyurethane film (1a) is positioned on the upper side, supporting and disposing, in a frame of the frame-shaped hot plate, a film support table (11) having an upper surface positioned generally at the same height as the upper surface of the frame-shaped hot plate (7) by a support table supporting shaft (16), placing a fused plate material (12) formed of paper and resin between the film support table (11) and the press plate (10), providing plate material receiving parts (13) lowering together with the press plate (10), lowering the press plate (10) so as to bring the fused plate material (12) and the composite film (1) into contact overlappingly with the frame-shaped hot plate (7), and thermally fusing only the polyurethane film (1a) on the outside of the film support table (11) to the fused plate material (12), whereby a cushioning material for product packing capable of easily peeling off only polyethylene film leaving polyurethane film after fusing can be provided.
