Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a method and a device for guaranteeing terminal security. A method for guaranteeing terminal security. The baseband chip of a terminal is provided with a secure storage area, the secure storage area being used for storing data for guaranteeing the security of the terminal. The baseband chip executes the following steps: acquiring authentication data from the secure storage area; transmitting a state query request to a security management server, the state query request carrying the authentication data, the authentication data being used by the security management server for determining the identity of the terminal; receiving a state response transmitted by the security management server according to the identity of the terminal; in the case where it is determined according to the state response that the terminal is in a reported lost state, activating a preset protection strategy. The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention can solve the problem that the anti-theft function of a terminal fails because the operating system on the application processor of the terminal has been removed or replaced, improving the security of the terminal.
