Abstract:
Disclosed is a heating means whereby, in the process of producing a corrugated cardboard sheet, a raw starch slurry can be auxiliarily heated without using steam and the raw starch slurry temperature can be accurately controlled to the gelling temperature thereof without forming water drops. A method for producing a corrugated cardboard sheet comprising: preheating single-faced corrugated cardboard sheets (K1) and (K2) and a surface liner (L3) with preheating rolls (12a-c); applying a raw starch slurry (g) to the ridge tops of cores (N1) and (N2) with a gluing device (16); then, blowing wet air, which has a dew-point temperature at around the gelling point of the raw starch slurry (g), from wet-air outlets (41a) and (41b) onto the core ridge tops to thereby gel the raw starch slurry (g); then, introducing the single-faced corrugated cardboard sheets (K1) and (K2) and surface liner (L3) into a double facer (90); heating and pressing the same with a hot plate (96) and a belt conveyor (94); and then bonding and drying to give a double-faced corrugated cardboard sheet (D). Since the raw starch slurry (g) is preheated with said wet air, the raw starch slurry (g) can be accurately heated to the gelling temperature thereof and thus both of overheating and dew condensation can be prevented.
