METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HIGH-SPEED AND LOW-SPEED COMMUNICATIONS USING LOW- AND MEDIUM-ORBIT SATELLITES

The present invention relates to a multiple-station communication method that involves using satellites and comprises the following steps: modulating in subscribers' stations high-speed and low-speed information of pseudo-noise codes which are different from each other but in phase relative to each other and which modulate the carriers; emitting the information packets thus formed together with preambles to satellite repeaters where they are received; estimating the shifts of code delay and carrier frequencies; memorising said shifts as well as the information portion of the packets; forming new packets which are transmitted together with a synchronisation signal to the corresponding subscribers' stations and to the neighbouring satellite repeaters where received information is separated; according to the received shifts, automatically adjusting the self-tuning emitters themselves; adjusting the transmission capacity of the different high-speed (low-speed) transmission channels by a variation using the code and time compression parameters; synchronising the receivers and the self-tuning emitters in the subscribers' stations and in the neighbouring satellite repeaters through low-speed transmission lines; and providing for the transmission of high-speed (low-speed) information through on-board mounted transparent repeaters.
