Abstract:
Cells 11 being cultured are imaged while changing the set current value of an LED lamp 2 at prescribed intervals within a prescribed change range. Next, the average luminance (L) and average color saturation (S) in the HLS color space are calculated for each of the observation images thus imaged. For each observation image, an index (I) represented by the following formula (1) is calculated. Then, the set current value of the LED lamp 2 at which the observation image having the maximum index (I) is imaged is determined as the optimum value.
