Abstract:
A method and device for improving ocean thermal energy conversion. The method comprises: heating a low boiling point working medium in a heat exchanger (1) using hot seawater in a marine surface layer; evaporating same; feeding same into a turbine (3) to push the turbine (3) to rotate; meanwhile, driving, by the turbine (3), an electric generator (4) to do work for power generation; condensing the working medium exhaust gas discharged by the turbine (3) into a liquid state using the marine deep cold seawater extracted by a condenser (2); entering the heat exchanger (1) again using a booster pump (5), and then heating same by the hot seawater; feeding same into the turbine (3); evaporating same; pushing the turbine (3) to rotate the electric generator (4) to do work for power generation; repeating the steps for continuously generating electricity; providing a plurality of IDC modules (6) on the seabed; providing the electrical energy generated by the electric generator (4) to the IDC modules (6); and heating the heat exchanger (1) by the waste heat generated by working of the IDC modules (6). The temperature of the heat exchanger (1) is increased, causing the temperature difference from the condenser (2) having the deep seawater extracted to be increased, so that the generated energy pushes the turbine (3) to do more work to promote the electric generator (4) to generate electricity. According to the present invention, the seabed seawater can be used to cool the IDC modules; the waste heat of the IDC modules can be utilized to improve ocean thermal energy conversion; the practical value is achieved; the requirements of energy conservation and emission reduction, green and environmentally friendly energy sources in the country are facilitated; the method is easy to use and popularize.
