Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method and device for inter-system handover; the method comprises: a network side device determining to trigger a handover of a UE from a first system to a second system; notifying the UE to use a dual channel mode to establish a second system session which corresponds to a first system session that is being used; executing the handover from the first system session to the corresponding second system session, and releasing the first system session. According to the described means of, before the inter-system session handover, maintaining two system sessions before and after the handover, a delay generated when a system handover of a UE occurs may be reduced, thus achieving the requirement of high reliability.
