Abstract:
An IP-Connectivity Access Network (IP-CAN) session establishment method and
corresponding device are provided. The method comprises: the Policy and Charging
Enforcement Function entity of PCEFa and the Policy and Charging Rules Function
entity of PCRF performing session establishment; the entities of PCEFa and PCEFb
performing mobile registration; the entities of PCEFb and PCRF performing session
establishment; and the entity of PCRF sending the session information to the
entities of PCEFa and PCEFb. The device comprises: a PCEFa entity module, a PCEFb
entity module and a PCRF entity module. The purpose of establishing IP-CAN sessions
in the new PCC architecture is accomplished by the provided IP-CAN session establishment
method and corresponding device.
