Abstract:
A method and device for limiting the power consumption of a whole cabinet. The method comprises: determining a power consumption limiting threshold value for a whole cabinet (101); determining a current power consumption limiting mode (102); calculating the total limiting power consumption of nodes in the whole cabinet (103); calculating a power consumption threshold value of each of the nodes according to the current power consumption limiting mode, the power consumption limiting threshold value for the whole cabinet and the total limiting power consumption of the nodes in the whole cabinet (104); and respectively transmitting the power consumption threshold value of each node to the corresponding node, so that the corresponding node limits the power consumption according to the received power consumption threshold value (105). By means of determining a power consumption limiting threshold value for a whole cabinet, a current power consumption limiting mode and the total limiting power consumption of nodes in the whole cabinet, a monitoring management unit RMC for the whole cabinet can automatically calculate a power consumption limiting threshold value of each node according to a current power consumption mode, and can respectively transmit a power consumption threshold value of each node to the corresponding node so as to realise power consumption limiting. The method can effectively improve the efficiency of limiting the power consumption of the whole cabinet.
