Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for managing background applications of a terminal, comprising: detecting a running state of each application of applications running in the background of an operating system of a terminal; selecting a first target application from the applications, the running state of the first target application being a preset running state; assigning a first processing resource of the terminal to the first target application and setting the first target application to run on the first processing resource, where the first processing resource is greater than a second processing resource preassigned to the applications in the background of the operating system of the terminal. Also disclosed is a device for managing the background applications of the terminal. The employment of embodiments of the present invention has the advantage of enhanced controllability of resource occupation by the background applications of the terminal, increased applicability of the management of the background applications of the terminal, and enhanced user experience with the terminal.
