Abstract:
A method for managing a file in a multimedia service enables: an item location box including a version number and a version ID of a file to be defined in metadata; said version number included in the item location box to be increased by 1, if said file is changed such that a file with a new version is generated; and file information on said file with the new version to be added to said item location box.
