Abstract:
Provided are a method and system for managing traffic forwarding in an SDN network. The method comprises: receiving a request for a traffic forwarding application traffic table from a first switch; calculating a forwarding path of traffic according to the request, and generating MAC switching traffic tables corresponding to switches on the forwarding path respectively, wherein each MAC switching traffic table is used for instructing the corresponding switch to forward the traffic; and issuing each MAC switching traffic table to the switch on the corresponding path. By means of the solution in the present invention, the problem in the prior art of low traffic forwarding efficiency caused by the fact that an SDN switch needs to process a great number of traffic tables is solved, and the number of traffic tables which actually need to be issued to the SDN switch can be greatly decreased, thereby relieving the management pressure on the SDN switch and improving the traffic forwarding efficiency.
