Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a beam member formed of: a fiber-reinforced base which comprises, in a cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the beam member, a web section and at least a pair of flange sections extending from the web section toward both sides via at least one branch section; and a filler-shaped body charged into a wedge-shaped void formed in the branch section. Specifically disclosed is a method for manufacturing a beam member wherein in order to continuously and efficiently manufacture the filler-shaped body to be charged into the void even when the cross section of the wedge-shaped void varies in the longitudinal direction of the beam, the filler-shaped body is manufactured in at least the following manufacturing processes (A) to (C). (A) a process of supplying a filler material configured of a reinforced fiber (B) a process of pressurizing the filler material with a preshaping mold to make a filler preshaped object having a wedge-shaped protrusion section (C) a process of charging the filler preshaped object into the void and pressurizing the filler preshaped object to deform, thereby making the filler-shaped body
