Abstract:
The method for manufacturing a glass article is provided with a preheating step S1 that heats a transfer pipe 7 and a transfer step S4 in which molten glass is passed through the interior of the transfer pipe 7 after the preheating step S1. The transfer pipe 7 is provided with a tubular body 8 and flanges 9a, 9b formed at the ends of the body 8. The body 8 is held by a refractory 10. The preheating step S1 includes an external force application step that applies external force F to the transfer pipe 7 and extends the transfer pipe 7.
