Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a rotor for a rotary electric machine, the method comprising: a disposition step for supporting a workpiece that includes a hollow rotor shaft and a rotor core, and forming a state where the rotor shaft is disposed on the internal diameter side of the rotor core; a positioning step for positioning, with respect to the rotor shaft, an operation member that can be disposed in the hollow inside of the rotor shaft, that has a hollow section in the radially inside, and that is displaceable or deformable in the radial direction such that the operation member makes contact with or faces, in the radial direction, a press molding region in the inner circumferential surface of the rotor shaft; and a load application step for, after the disposition step and the positioning step, applying an axial force to a drive member to bring the drive member into contact with a to-be-contacted section of the operation member in the hollow section of the operation member, thereby applying a radial force to the operation member.
