Abstract:

A method and a device for manufacturing sound absorbing carpets applied to carpets and mats laid down on the floor surfaces of vehicles such as cars, trains, and aircraft and the carpets and mats laid down indoors and on the floor surfaces of the corridors of buildings. The method is characterized by comprising the steps of forming a packing layer, drilling through-holes in the packing layer, and fusing a fiber base material to the packing layer.
