Abstract:
A method and device for measuring the degree of order of shredded tobacco in a tobacco segment. The method comprises the following steps: A, determining the circumference φ of a sample tobacco segment to be measured and the length L of said tobacco segment; B, using an air source (2-1) to introduce a stable air flow into said tobacco segment (4), using a flow rate measurement unit (2-4) to measure the value of the volume flow rate QV of the air flow through said tobacco segment (4), and using a pressure difference sensor (3-1) to measure a pressure difference ΔP at both ends of said sample tobacco segment (4); and C, calculating the degree of order ηi of shredded tobacco according to the following three formulas: formula I, formula II, and formula III, wherein K is the permeability coefficient of said tobacco segment (4), A is the cross-sectional area of a flow cross-section of said tobacco segment (4), ρ is air density, g is gravitational acceleration, Kmax is defined as the maximum K value of the completely ordered tobacco segment (4) measured under specific detection conditions, and Kmin is defined as the K value of the completely disordered tobacco segment (4) measured under specific detection conditions. The degree of order of said tobacco segment (4) is calculated, which plays an important guiding role in the quality and stability of the formation process of a disordered shredded tobacco base rod.
