Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for a mobile terminal to select a resident cell, the method comprising: a mobile terminal real-time monitors cell service attribute information broadcasted by a mobile network in the mobile network of a service division carrier or division system deployment; the mobile terminal determines whether the type of the terminal thereof matches the cell service attribute according to the monitored cell service attribute information; and the mobile terminal selects a cell matching the type of the terminal thereof as a target cell according to the determining result and resides in the target cell.
