Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MULTI-FLOW TRANSMISSION IN SDN NETWORK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/161982
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of communications, and in particular to a method and device for multi-flow transmission in an SDN network. The method comprises: a server obtains network state information by means of an SDN controller; determine the number of sub-flows and a sub-flow transmission path required by a multi-flow connection according to the network state information and data sending rate requirements of a client, and allocate corresponding sub-flow identifier information to each sub-flow; the server sends the determined sub-flow transmission path and the corresponding sub-flow identifier information to the SDN controller. By means of the solution, path planning for a multi-flow connection is completed by a server according to network state information, and a SDN controller only provides the network state information for the server and does not perform path planning for a multi-flow connection, such that the computational burden of the SDN controller is reduced. Moreover, by performing path planning for a multi-flow connection by a server according to network state information, the number of sub-flows can be more efficiently adjusted during a data transmission process, thereby satisfying sending rate requirements of a client.
