Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLANE MACHINING A FLANGE OF AN ASSEMBLED ROTOR BLADE IN PARTICULAR FOR A WIND TURBINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/159718
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
Rotor blades (11), for wind turbines, for example, are assembled from two or more rotor blade portions (18) along the rotor blade longitudinal direction. It is difficult to connect the individual rotor blade portions (18) in sufficiently precise alignment so that the flange portions (21) of the rotor blade portions (18), which form a flange (20) of the rotor blade (11), are located in a common plane. The invention relates to machining different successive areas of flange (20) composed of the flange portions (21), after the assembly of the rotor blade portions (18) to form a rotor blade (11) in particular for a wind turbine. According to an embodiment, the device is fastened to the same fastening means (23) that also serve for connecting the rotor blade to a hub (12) for the purpose of facing a flange portion (21).
