Abstract:
A method and device for positioning an unmanned aerial vehicle. The method comprises: when a hovering operation is determined to be performed, acquiring a first ground image (S101), wherein the first ground image is used as a reference image; acquiring a second ground image at a current time (S102); and determining, according to the first ground image and the second ground image, a current position of an unmanned aerial vehicle (S103). The first ground image is acquired, during the hovering operation of the unmanned aerial vehicle, to be the reference image, and the second ground image at the current time has identical or near identical external environment influence factors with respect to the first ground image. Therefore, determining a current position of the unmanned aerial vehicle according to the first ground image and the second ground image reduces systematic errors introduced by a resolution difference caused by external factors, and improves positioning precision during hovering of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
